The West Ridge Band has a 24-year history of providing an exemplary instrumental music program to the students of the Eanes ISD community.

Throughout its history, the West Ridge Band has been the recipient of consistent UIL Sweepstakes Awards, numerous individual Solo & Ensemble Awards, and Best in Class designations in spring music festivals throughout the state of Texas.  In addition, the West Ridge Band places many students in the District and Region Honor Bands and Orchestras each year, and has advanced to the Area & State levels in the TMEA Honor Band selection process on numerous occasions.

In the spring of 2007, the West Ridge Wind Ensemble was honored with an invitation to perform for the Western International Band Conference in Seattle, Washington, in November of 2008.

Our most recent honor came this past spring with an invitation to perform at the prestigious Midwest Clinic in Chicago, Illinois.  The West Ridge Wind Ensemble will perform on the opening day of the conference this coming December 15, 2010.
 

Our goal each year is to provide each of our students with a band experience that is so positive and so rewarding that they can't imagine not participating in the band again next year!  Each one of our students is important to the success of the entire group.  Every one of us - students, directors and parents - are involved in this quest for excellence!
